TOTO Carlyle II Review
Design/Materials
The one-piece Carlyle II toilet has a skirted bowl. The toilet is made from vitreous china with a SanaGloss (now renamed CeFiONtec in some Toto literature) finish to help maintain a clean toilet. The toilet comes complete with a chrome trip lever and a soft close seat.
Flushing System
With the very efficient Dual Cyclone (sometimes referred to as a Tornado Flush) system that forces water through two jets to increase the efficiency of the flush, the toilet cleans efficiently and effectively using only 1.28 gallons per flush (GPF).
The toilet is Water Sense certified, not only for its low water usage but also for the efficiency of the flushing action.

Cleaning
This Carlyle II, due to the SanaGloss (now renamed CeFiONtec in some Toto literature) finish, ensures a high standard of cleaning during and after the flush.
In addition, this SanaGloss surface finish helps prevent the buildup of both stains and the growth of mold and bacteria.
Overall, with this combination of flush and surface finish, the frequency with which you have to clean the toilet manually is much reduced. To maintain this finish gentle cleaning agents are needed.

The Carlyle II is a high-efficiency toilet (HET). The volume of water used, combined with the efficiency in removing waste, allows this toilet to be EPA Water Sense certified.

Ease of Installation

In common with all one-piece toilets, the Carlyle II is a little more difficult to install due to the weight of the complete toilet and its size. Although, many installations do not have any difficulty.
